About our google reviews

Hi friends,

Hope you are enjoying the summer vibes!

Today I would like to talk about very sensitive topic - reviews.

SAVA on Yonge owns 4.7⭐️ (357 review)

SAVA on Roncy owns 4.9⭐️ (34 reviews)

Rating on Google is crucial as it affects guests decision on which place to chose for their next meal. Not only stars are important but also the number of reviews. On Roncy we are encouraging guests to write as a review, as SAVA still doesn’t get recommended when searching for restaurants in the area.

Recently, we started noticing that people write really good reviews about their experience at SAVA but only giving us 4 stars.

It’s really interesting and I do not have an explanation yet. Here is some examples →

We were trying to figure out what we could improve to turn these reviews into 5 star, but it seems like guests really enjoyed the experience. By the way, we really appreciate every feedback!

There is nothing wrong with 4 stars however it lowers down over overall rating. Imagine, you are choosing a restaurant and see average rating of 4.0. Not as exciting as 4.5, right?

The reason might be in the fact that we didn’t exceed expectations (they saw as online, they knew what to expect, and they got exactly what they expected). Sometimes there is a combination of small factors (table was wobbling, too loud inside, a kid next table was crying), or even the weather (there was a research done confirming that the weather affects guests reviews online).

Fun story instead of conclusion:

A guy who came for the interview was not a good fit and we sent a polite rejection letter. A couple of hours later we saw a one star review from this person. Poor guy did not even change his name to stay anonymous and google will delete his review as a “conflict of interests”.

By the way, what is your average rating to choose a place to eat?
